Firm history
A group of enterpreneurs founded Plastik Mûanyagipari Kisszövetkezet at the end of the seventies. Later Felcsuti Csaba left this company, and founded METALPLAST Gmk. This company was specialized to the production of metal and plastic industry products. The customers at that time were mainly big state owned companies, for these firms he developed the products. Felcsuti Csaba and his son formed later the MP META Ltd, and with this begun the story of the first brandname. Today one can find
the MP META machine accessory assortment on the shelves of all European handicraft department stores. In 1998 MPF META Rt was founded. This company dealt with the production of META products and also provided connected service. The growing financial administration and the need for a common financial wiev made it necessary to found the company group's new member, MP Consulting Kft. This company handles also the real estate propetry of the group. The group created his first foreign country interest, the Romanian
subsidiary (SC MP META Romania srl.), the group's assortment expanded with a new product line in 2002. At the same time beside Kiskunfélegyháza MP METÁL Kft was formed for producing wrought-iron motifs and fence elements. The turnover of META products was stable and this made it possible to outsource the production to Far East. The production of small series and unique products remained in Hungary.
In 2003 MP META bought up the Romhány based WIDENTA grinding wheel factory. After some major investments today WIDENTA is biggest grinding tool and cutting wheel factory in East-Europe. The factory serves the unique industrial orders under the world wide well known brand name WIDENTA. There was a need for coordinate the logistic, procurement and sales activity, and for this reason the MP META Rt had to be reorganised and renamed to MPF HOLDING Logistic and Sales Inc. At 2003 MPF HOLDING LLC, New York
was also estabilished. MPF Holding LLC coordinates the Chinese, European, Russian, American expansion and the marketing activity. All companies in the group was later organised under MPF HOLDING LLC, so that became the main owner and investor. With this step the company was ready to lead by a professional small centralised management team. The expansion of the group was continuing in 2005, founding the Germany interest (MPF HOLDING Handels Logistik Gmbh), and the group acquired also the Bajai Bútoripari
Kft. After the consolidation of this factury, the group reorganise it totally. The Chinese joint venture was formed in 2006 (META-WIDENTA Abrasive China Ltd). Later the Chinese part was bought out, so the company is now fully under MPF HOLDING control. Joining to the EU brought huge opportunities to the group, we tripled our turnover.The most dynamic expansion can be percieved on the german and specially on the recently opened romanian, bulgarian and croatian markets. Today MPF is represented on the european
and the near east markets with 9000 items integrated in 6 different product programs. Despite of the economic crisis, in 2008 the Group bought up Clarflex Ltd (flexible abrasive paper factory) and in 2009 MPF bought a major regional building chemical factory from Henkel. Both transactions were done without any external financial source.
Social policy
The support of the culture and the sport was part of the MPF Holding firm politics always. Mainly we contribute to the active social life of the sorrounding villages of our sites. We make efforts to support the local community's life, we stand for local initiations, since the results and feedbacks have affects to the company's life directly. The domestic sites of the group developed in such a way that they are one of the biggest employers in the region, so this is natural that the contribution
to the life and sport is significant.
